Minutes of Meeting

1. 7:00 PM The Meeting was called to order by Meeting Chairman Gay Fourroux

2 7:05 PM Meeting Chairman Gay Fourroux introduced the Competition Committee

3 7:10 PM Bill Pryor Presented a brief Wrap-up of Last Season-

4. 7:15 PM Bill Pryor presented a Tentative Alignment of Divisions for the 2003-2004 Season

5. 7:20 PM There was a short Floor Discussion of Alignment/requests for changes by the Tennis Captains. BM#3 Captain Mike Lockhart insisted that BM#3 should move up because they won the Blue Division. Bill Pryor pointed out that a major confrontation had occurred after the May Captains Meeting when GA#5 Captain identified an error in scores that he had input, which would have put GA#5 in 2nd Place, and BM#3 in Third Place. The Scorekeeper had ruled that the Playoffs would proceed as previously planned which showed BM#3 in 2nd Place. BM#3, in reality, finished in 3rd place, and although they won the Playoffs, team movement is based on regular season performance.

6. 7:35 PM The Discussion of proposed Changes to JCCA Rules of Tennis - led by Bill Pryor and Gay Fourroux, lasted until 9:15 PM. The disposition of those changes is (being) identified in the Marked-up copy of the Rules below.

7. 9:15 PM Tennis Captains Voted on the last of the Proposed Changes to Rules

8. 9:20 PM Explanation of the New Tennis Scoring & Statistics Reporting System - Barry Breaux

9. 9:20 PM New Business - Tennis Captains: (Item 8, above, is such an item of new business. Also, an objection by SR#1 was noted - their objection was that no other teams were moved up from the White Division for them to be competitive with.

10. 9:25 PM Old Business - Old Business was not discussed.

11. 9:30 PM Adjourn - by acclamation

12. 9:30 PM Hands-on Demonstration of New "Over-the-Web" Scoring System - Barry Breaux
