1. All Captains An "over-the-web" score input routine has been developed,  will be the preferred method - the ONLY method for inputting scores as of 9/02/03 - "TennisScoreboard" is now active.

2. CAPTAINS: Check your Rosters in the new scoring system - if your player is not on the roster, instruct the player to Register via JCCA.net.  IF YOU INTEND TO USE A PLAYER THAT DOES NOT APPEAR ON YOUR ROSTER, HE MUST BE ADDED TO THE ROSTER NO LATER THAN 6:00 PM OF THE TUESDAY HE IS TO PLAY.  This is new - a rule has in effect since the first issue of JCCA Rules & Regulations, requiring addition to the roster the MONDAY before the match.  During a DISCUSSION at the May 5, 2001 Captains Meeting, the Captains' edict to the JCCA Scorekeeper was to strictly enforce the rule.  Yet the deadline was changed at the 8/05/03 Captains Meeting.

3.  "Log in" to TennisScoreboard and click on "Rosters" to ensure that each player you intend to use is on the team's roster.  IF YOU DO NOT SEE YOUR PLAYER'S NAME, DO NOT ALLOW HIM TO PLAY A MATCH UNTIL HE HAS BEEN PLACED ON THE ROSTER.  EACH PLAYER MUST BE ON THE TEAM ROSTER BEFORE HE STEPS ON THE COURT TO PLAY A JCCA MATCH.  To place a player on the roster, you must log in to TennisScoreboard and click on "Rosters," and "drill down" to that roster.  Notice, under "ID," and "Player," there are blanks.  Next to the "Player" blank is a grey box with "..." in it.  Click on the grey box.  This opens a new window, in which you can search for the player you wish to add to your roster.  Find your player.  If you cannot find the player listed, he has not registered.  BUT - let's assume you find the name.  To the right of this name is a grey box with the word "Select" in it.  Click on "Select."  This returns you to the original roster, with that name now showing in the top row.  In the right-hand column is another grey box with a "+" in it.  Click this "+" and your new player's name will appear in the list below the blanks.  If you encounter difficulty with this, CALL BILL PRYOR (737-5613) BUT DO NOT WAIT UNTIL TUESDAY AT 5:55 PM TO DO THIS - IT IS YOUR EMERGENCY - NOT HIS.

4. YOU, as a Captain, SHOULD SELECT your players before the match,  To do this, click on "Score Entry" on the left, and select the match for which you wish to enter scores (click on the grey box with the "...").  This causes a window to open, with the score card showing.  Click on the grey box with the "..." beside any player blank, and select your players.  If you do not see the player you wish to use at this time, he is ineligible, for that match.  No further discussion.  (See Items 2. and 3., above).  THEN click on "Print," and print a copy to take with you to the courts.  Better print two in case your opponent doesn't follow this practice.  Do not SAVE at this time if you do not want the opposing Captain to view your lineup ahead of time.

5. Captains ARE TO exchange score sheets before the match.  You already know who is playing for YOU, and you can write those names in.  Write in the scores of the matches as the matches are played.

6. EITHER TEAM Captain may Enter match scores.  BOTH Captains are responsible to enter scores AND countersign the match record by 6:00 PM of the Friday following the Match.  .

NOTE - THIS IS NEW FOR THE 2003 - 2004 SEASON!  (For Additional discussion click HERE.)
