OUTCOME:
Proposed moves of Green Acres#3 to White, and Green Acres#4 to Red were opposed and did not carry.
The move of Chateau Estates#1 to White was approved. The move of Country Club Homes#1 to Red was opposed, due to lack of players at CCHR to support three teams. Their two teams will be in the White and Blue Divisions.
With Chateau moving to White, and no team moving up to Red, this left SEVEN teams in the Red Division. The addition of CE to White could have worked only with one White team moving down to Blue, or one team dropping out of White. Paradise Manor#1 had proposed NOT fielding a team for next season, so this worked out.
With Country Club Homes maintaining a team in the Blue Division (not moving up), and Sunrise and Green Acres Green teams moving up, one additional Blue team had to move to Green. The next-to-last place finisher was Chateau Estates, and this team was asked to move to Green, which their captain reluctantly agreed to.
FOLLOW-UP:
Paradise decided to field a White Division team - after-the-fact, and after the schedule had been worked out. One alternative proposed to the PMCC White Captain were for that Captain to prevail upon one other White team Captain to move down. Then prevail upon one other Blue team Captain to move down. He then would have to prevail upon Green Acres NOT to field the Green team they had just offered to field, to help achieve balance in the league. Another alternative was for Paradise Manor to field a team in the Red Division - even though they had not won a single match in the entire second half of the 1998-99 season in the White Division.
